F*** You, Past

The problem that I have with the past is that it always comes back with an uncompromising encore presentation.

I am strong enough to face anything shown but my past always wants my soul, the student, to be ready with a well-written dissertation.

My past is like an angry psychology professor, teaching P.H.D. candidates the common errors of putting their souls on preservation.

I can’t stand to know that getting an ‘A’ is solely my common motivation in these overwhelming situations.

My past will call my name like I’m the only student in the classroom at the time.

I know my soul will pass any test given because I have studied with my tutors, Forgiveness and Father Time.

Looking at the test with uncertainty, one will always see the answer choices of just true and false.

The only question on the test, “Did you let go of the past, me, for the future? True or False?”

My soul answers with confidence, “True,” like a true boss.
